Guava Crunch Bars
 

Ingredients:
1 C. sugar ¼ C. shredded dried coconut
½ tsp. salt ¼ tsp. ground cloves
½ C. margarine ½ C. chopped walnuts
1 tsp. nutmeg 1 C. unsweetened guava pulp
1 tsp. baking soda 2 C. all purpose flour
1 C. seedless raisins 1 egg, well beaten
1 ½ tsp. cinnamon

Sift together flour and baking soda. Blend margarine and sugar; add guava pulp and egg. Mix in cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and cloves. Add raisins, walnuts, and coconut. Mix well. Add flour mixture and mix thoroughly.
Spread in a greased 8x12x2 inch baking pan.
Topping:
¼ c. sugar 2 TBS. margarine, softened
¾ c. corn flakes crumbs

Combine topping ingredients and sprinkle over top of batter. Press down lightly. Bake at 350° 35-40 minutes or until done. Cool; cut into squaes.
Makes 2 dozen bars.
