Filipino 'Egg Rolls'


Lumpia
 

Ingredients:
¼ C. shoyu (Soy Sauce) 1 pkg. lumpia wrappers
1 egg white 2-3 TBSP cornstarch
2 carrots, grated 1 small onion, chopped
1 lb. ground pork 3-4 cloves garlic, minced
1 lb. hamburger 1 c. shredded cabbage
1 pkg. bean sprouts

Brown ground beef and pork in garlic, drain oil. Add vegetables.
Mix shoyu with cornstarch until thick; add to mixture.
Place thin line of mixture on wrapper. Follow direction on package to fold wrappers.
Beat egg white with 1 TBS cornstarch to form paste. Use paste to seal wrappers.
May freeze lumpia. When ready to use, fry until golden brown. Eat with dip.

Ingredients:
Lumpia Dip
1 tsp. salt 2 TBSP. shoyu
1 can chicken broth ¼ tsp. brown sugar
¼ C. ketchup 2 TBS. vinegar
