Baked Taro
 

Peel taro if not already peeled.
Put on cookie sheet and bake in oven at 350° for 1 hour. Test with fork.


Variations

Boiled taro:
Prepare as above, only slice in 1/2inch slices and boil until fork goes easily into taro.

Fa’alifu taro:
After taro is boiled (check with fork), add 1 large can coconut milk, 1 tsp. salt, ½ C.. sliced onion. Simmer until coconut milk thickens.

Taro chips:
Slice thin, then fry in oil. Drain and salt
